I never traveled anywhere the Metro Whiz Buses didn’t travel and neither did my parents.  Actually it was dangerous to even go outside the city by bus or train.  I went to college by airplane, it was expensive but safe.  The danger was rogue milita, and the papers were full about how the United States Army or certain state armies were squashing various insurgencies.

Public buildings were decorated everywhere with cut heads.  Little children were terrified by the open or closed eyes of the severed heads.  Older children laughed lots about the heads.  I guess it was just as good to laugh.  But we all knew by the end of high school that the huge profit the richest people, in all the safe Metro areeas, came from slave sales and most ‘good’ slaves came from the traffic in captured people.  That was done by the outlaw armies.  It was a wink and a nod procedure that fed the criminals and when some heads were cut off, other heads took over, and trafficked.  New slaves always arrived in the markets.  I didn’t know any people who were rich and profited  or any victims who were picked up and sold.  The whole problem didn’t affect me, but I decided to accept the out of area scholarship and go to Holy Cross College and my parents argued for me going to school at home.

I wanted to get away, have some adventure in my life, before deciding on a boy and having a marriage.  I didn’t want to see myself just like everyone else.

My first two semesters at Holy Cross College were marvelous and I loved the school, and met lots of people, and then when summer vacation came I decided to stay in the dorm and not spend my money flying back to Metro East.  I decided to rest, study and get a head start on my sophmore college year.

It was taking a break right after most everyone in my dorm had left for the summer.  My day off I decided to go to a off campus movie called Colonial Girl on Mars   The story was about a girl scientist who was part of a large probe where one thousand colonists were transported to Central Mars.  She was scientifically paired with Glen a fellow scientist who was her age, but she was attracted to the probe’s head Kenneth.  that was the part before the lights came on and the movie ended, and soldiers appeared at every exit.  Someone said, “What is this about?”

There were about 200 people sitting in the theatre where I was.  There were 15 other movies playing but my pick was in the largest room.  I think the Mars colonies, even in a fiction drama, was the big draw.

“This is the Montana Army and this town has been captured this morning.  Your mayor Gary Smithson has surrendered and accepted lawful enslavement.  Male slaves line up in the left aisle and females in the right over by me.

Move in the wrong direction and you may be shot.”  He was a tall soldier without a hat, carrying a portable mike.  One little boy ran away from his mother, and the mother grabbed his arm and dragged him back.  I stood up with my popcorn and cold drink and watched the people move slowly toward the various lines based on their gender.  Some couples kissed each other and then lined up.

I was sort of frozen in place watching the others move and some of the soldiers had put down their guns and were locking metal slave collars on the men and women and attaching the collars to a chain.

“You, girl in the middle of the theatre center come up here quickly.  Yes you with the tits, come right up here now.”  The man with the mike was talking to me.  That started me moving toward the female line.  I saw that 3 teenage girls were wearing collars and were not attached to the chain.  Small children were not attached to the chain, but held the hands of their mothers.

When I got up to the line of women and children I got in the back of the line, “No, no”, the tall soldier said in his mike, “Tits you come up here with me.”

When I was up to him he turned off his mike and said, “Hi Tits, I’m Commander Buddy, your lord and master, and do you have a name?”

“I’m Ruth Ann Sanders,”  I said.

“Are you a little high school virgin or a college coed?”

“I’m a student sir at Holy Cross College.  My parents would ransom me.  I can give you their address in Metro East.”

“Forget that Ruth Ann.  You are an important part of my loot.  Your blue eyes, blond hair and surerb tits have made you one of Commander Buddies special loot.  See those three girls over there?”

“Yes sir,” I said.

“Well those are common soldier sluts.  Notice their acme faces, too much lipstick, short dresses,   pierced places,  fake jewelery and tatoos.  Common soldiers are rather hard up for female company when they get this far from home, and will take turns, will wait in line even with animals like these.”  We were standing close to the three teenage girls and they heard  what he said.

“Now when this flock of animals is taken outside and hooked up with the other lines, well the soldiers will rotate in here and take turns with these sluts.  From the other movie rooms they will bring in others of the same low life sorts — about ten.  The sluts are lucky to get to be of direct service to the Montana Army.  If they are eager little sluts they may be taken as camp slaves so they can service the common soldiers while were here.”

“Some of these girls are very young,” I said.

“Well dressed as they are, their bodies look like they have the essential equiptment to be recreation devices for our soldiers.  Judging from their prostitute like dress I think they would be suited as entertainment girls rather than work on roads, and public projects carrying rocks.”

“Why do you do this to people?  We were leading our lives and not bothering anybody?”  I asked him as he clipped a collar around my neck.

“I bring civilization to the heatherns.”

“Raping and enslaving people doesn’t seem civilized to me.”  I said.

“Did you know that Marion Montana is the world center for philosophy?  Even average Montana Citizens have ten slaves working, in their home or business.

Free people are really free when they can lay back, be restful while slaves do their work, and they think new ideas during their extended leisure.  Montana men are just superior to others, and they are natural owners of other slave type, duck headed, on their knees, men who thank their masters for beating them.  In Montana citizens are the most free.”

“Like freedom and justice for all?”  I said.

“Sure I believe in that doctrine of centuries old political creed.  It is Montana Citizens that are slowly bringing the world to a civilized state.  All our space outposts are Montana owned.”

“Those ten girls that are going to be raped in here will not get liberty and justice.”  I said.

“That’s exactly what they are getting.  They were surrendered as slave animals by their lawful leader the mayor.  He licked my boots and begged to be my slave.”

“It sounds barbaric, medieval.”

“The great leader Alex Gompers said, ‘Free men and women are truly free when they are freed from the grid of daily toil.’ He was totally right, and guess where he was from?”

“Probably Montana, but I never heard of Alex Gompers and I aced American Institutions for two semesters.”

“See Montana troops needed to come here to civilize heatherns who never heard of Alex.”

“None of my professors were in favor of slavery and there was never a mention of Alex Gompers.  When did he live?”

“He’s living now.  You’ve heard of Chicago US/Canada, well he’s the Montana Military Ruler of that.”

“My father said no one can go to Chicago anymore.  People in his firm went in and out by airplane before.  Now he says there is not entrance or exit.  He said it was bad for business.”

“Not for Alex Gompers business, he’s doing great.  It’s a model slave town now.”
